6 Reasons Why We Love Singapore (And You Should Too!)

Singapore is a melting pot of cultures. People from all over the world visit the island city-state to work, play and study, and boy does it show.

The city is a hub for business and entertainment, and boasts a wide range of facilities to cater to every need. Interesting fact…the city has one of the highest density of private jet charter flights in Asia. Some find they’re hooked on Singapore after just one visit – it’s easy to see why.

With so many reasons to love the city, compiling this list wasn’t difficult in the slightest. Here’s what we love about Singapore:

The Food

From McDonald’s to gourmet eating, Singapore has it all – at least when it comes to food. The city’s reputation is far-reaching, with most across the world knowing how much locals and tourists here appreciate the food choices available. The local foods such as Bak Chor Mee and curried fish soup are exceptional, and as expected in a major city, you can find many Western dishes for sale here too if you’re craving some home comforts.

Changi Airport

Changi International Airport, Singapore’s main airport, is a world leader when it comes to style and efficiency. Navigating it is a breeze, and it just looks rather futuristic from where we’re standing. It’s not often an airport makes a city, but when you think about it, it is the first part of the city you get to experience, assuming you’re flying, of course!

Public Transport

Compare Singapore to many American cities and you’ll see why public transport made this list. Take Los Angeles, for example. Getting around in the City of Angels costs a fortune as you need to take a taxi everywhere. In Singapore, most locals have given up on taxis. So good is the transportation network, there’s no need to use anything else in order to get around. Oh, and did we mention it’s super cheap, too?

Singapore has a reputation for being a safe city, and it’s easy to see why. Crime rates here are low, and virtually everybody who visits praises the place for its relaxed atmosphere. There’s no point paying to go somewhere then staying put in your hotel at night. Go to a place where you can explore from dusk till dawn without the fear of running into something unsavoury.

It wouldn’t be a vacation without a little shopping thrown in, just for good measure. Whether you want to treat yourself or just bring back a few souvenirs, the shops nearby will have you covered. Most tourists usually end up purchasing expensive clothes or electronic devices here, thanks to the low prices and international usability of said devices. But whatever your tastes, there’s guaranteed to be a shop to suit you.

So Savour Singapore

You don’t just have to take our word for how smoothly life runs in Singapore, why not visit and find out for yourself?

If you’re planning a vacation or business trip to Singapore, stop off at this iconic destination and really get a feel for what the place is all about. You might want to consider chartering a private jet to Singapore.
